Take care to choose the right invitation card stock for your family reunion invites. Whether it’s stationery, card stock, postcard, gloss, matte, etc…the feel, the weight, the texture are all critical attributes of quality stationery and are of vital importance to the appropriate theme and tone you want to set for your family reunion. You don’t want to print or have your family reunion invitations printed on paper that is too thin, too light or flimsy. You want to use a quality card stock or stationery so that your reunion invitation can be preserved as a keepsake or memento of the reunion for years to come. Remember each family reunion is a history making event for your family.
Bring your creativity to life with the choice of invitation card stock or stationery you use for your family reunion invitation. It could be something as simple as the color. For example, the first invitations that I sent for our first family reunion were on purple stationery. The second year, the invitations were red. After the second family reunion my family members caught on and got the picture. Now my family knows the color or color scheme for the upcoming family reunion based on the color or colors used in the reunion invitation. Remember the reunion invitation (inclusive of the card stock or stationery) sets the tone, mood, and spirit for the family reunion. Case in point, if my family receives a green invitation, among other things, they know they can look forward to a reunion that will include green t-shirts, green decorations, green souvenir journals, green bags, etc…the color green will be sprinkled throughout the reunion. I’m simply saying consider using a different color card stock or paper…use your creativity and mix things up a bit. Everything doesn’t have to be print white card stock or white paper.
You can add a twist and be really creativity with the card stock by merely using a textured card stock or stationary or even a shaped card stock or stationary for your family reunion invitation. To help you get the picture, let’s say you are having your family reunion in Georgia; you could have the actual reunion invitation itself designed and cut into the shape of the state of Georgia.
Remember the card stock or paper used for your family reunion invitation is also important…the possibilities are endless! Remember be creative and have fun!
